This position assists the Human Resources Manager in administering plans and programs to ensure the most effective utilization of human resources to support the South Molton site and the Aerospace goals and objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the HR Manager in the administration and implementation of all phases in human resources including employment, compensation, benefits, merit and VPP payments, labour relations, training, and employee's compensation.
  • Arrange and oversee final employment or transfer processing, including arranging background checks and Occupational Health surveillance & referrals, reviewing and verifying information, and extending employment offers.
  • Handle correspondence related to staffing such as offer letters, rejection letters, etc.
  • Manage the disability claim process, coordinate each case with Occupational Health and/or MAKE UK when appropriate, and work with employees to facilitate positive employee relations and expedite return to full-duty work.
  • Work with business area leaders, employees, and employee representatives to foster a culture of employee engagement.
  • Coordinate business area participation and feedback in the employee survey in conjunction with the HR team; work with managers to develop action plans and monitor action plan completion.
  • Own all HR-related metrics in the areas of business the HRBP business partner with.
  • Handle all levels of recruitment from start to finish within business partner areas.
  • Respond to day-to-day employee relations issues.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or CIPD level 5.

Skills and Competencies

  • Excellent interpersonal skills including use of tact, judgment, and influencing; proven ability in counseling/advising in various employment-related matters; must be able to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, Power Point, Outlook required; prior experience managing an HRIS desirable.
