For our Fire Product Line global team, we are seeking a Technical Director, Fire & Intrusion. The role is offered in a hybrid setup for our offices in Riom/France and Cwmbran/UK, with up to 25% travel required.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and manage the Fire, Intrusion, and Notification R&D specialist team, including Fire Devices and Systems product architects and regulatory specialists, across all Life Safety locations (Cwmbran, Riom, Longbranch, Sarasota, Mitcheldean, and Doncaster).
- Define and deploy product‑line technology roadmaps aligned with overall product line strategy and business roadmaps.
- Work closely with Product Management, Business Development, and Commercial teams to ensure strong market and customer alignment.
- Collaborate with common engineering teams (Life Safety common engineering teams, Eaton Centers of Excellence, and extended engineering teams in Pune and Prague) on product‑line‑specific requirements, customer feedback, and product enhancements.
- Review all projects to ensure products are designed to meet customer and market requirements while achieving target cost, budget, and profit objectives.
- Ensure the sustainment and competitiveness of existing products throughout their lifecycle.
- Define and drive the VAVE pipeline to maintain cost competitiveness across the product line.
- Work closely with Project Managers to monitor delivery timelines committed to the market.
- Drive fair and effective project prioritization to balance resources across Life Safety product lines.
