Overview
In this role you will lead the Accounting function for allocated Aerospace EMEA sites, ensuring US GAAP and local GAAP accuracy and compliance. You will drive standardization and automation of financial processes across the zone and collaborate with Controllership and COEs to optimize structures. The position involves closing, reporting, statutory duties where applicable, and partnering with operations to align finance with business strategy. You will manage a finance team, uphold high ethical standards, and contribute to regional projects and audits.
Responsibilities
- Lead closing, accounting, and reporting for Aerospace EMEA sites with accuracy and timeliness
- Maintain control environment and ensure adherence to Eaton policies, US GAAP, SOX and local compliance
- Handle statutory reporting and potential corporate board representation
- Partner with Operations to understand activities and build business acumen
- Support strategic regional projects (tax, restructuring, M&A, payroll, systems)
- Drive optimization via standardization, simplification, and automation of financial processes
- Support process improvements and transitions in business and accounting controls
- Manage and develop a high-performance finance team
- Meet budgeted costs and maintain cost-effective operations
- Support audits (statutory, tax, customs, internal) and uphold ethical standards
Key requirements
- Degree in Accounting/Finance (Bachelor)
- 10+ years in Accounting/Finance
- Experience in multinational manufacturing finance
- Desirable exposure to Sarbanes-Oxley and US GAAP
- Fluent in business English; local language desirable
- Ability to operate independently and work with cross-functional teams
