A Day-in-a-Life of our Regional Manager - Northern England:
This role isn't just about managing; itβs about building a team that consistently wins. You start the week reviewing how your team's book of business is tracking, retention, deal quality, and where revenue is at risk. There are six account managers looking to you for direction, coaching, and the occasional tough conversation. One of them has a venue escalation that's been dragging; you step in, assess the situation, and help them close it out. By mid-week, you're in a planning session with Sales and Marketing. You know the North UK better than anyone in that room, which postcodes are underperforming, where demand outpaces supply, and which venue segments are churning. You turn that on-the-ground knowledge into clear direction that shapes where the team focuses next. The rest of the week is a mix of pipeline reviews, one-on-ones with your AMs, and working through a handful of commercial decisions that need your sign-off. You keep your team motivated, accountable, and moving.
On any given week, you will be:
- Coaching and developing a team of 8-10 account managers through pipeline reviews, ride-alongs, and structured one-on-ones
- Owning the Northern England book of business - tracking revenue, retention, churn risk, and team performance against targets
- Escalating and resolving complex venue or commercial issues that need senior judgment
- Partnering with Sales and Marketing to share city-level insight and align on where effort should focus
- Identifying underperforming venues or postcodes early and driving the team to intervene before churn happens
- Setting the standard for how account management is done in Northern England - the process, the quality bar, the culture
Type of projects you'll be working on at EatClub:
- Sales + AM alignment: Working closely with the Head of Sales to improve handoff quality and align prospecting focus with where the marketplace most needs supply
- Team capability uplift: Identifying skill gaps across your AM team and building a structured coaching program that measurably improves retention performance and deal outcomes
- Local campaign readiness: Ensuring Northern England venues are properly set up ahead of marketing pushes - right deal structures, right timing coverage, right volume - so demand converts
You have:
- Proven experience leading a sales or account management team (5+ people), owning a revenue or retention target
- A strong track record of hitting commercial targets, you know how to drive a book of business, not just manage relationships
- The ability to coach and motivate a diverse team, keep performance high, and handle difficult conversations when needed
- Comfort working across functions, you influence Sales and Marketing without needing to own those teams
- Experience in a high-growth or marketplace environment (hospitality or tech experience is a plus, not a must)
It would be extra awesome if you also had:
- Experience in hospitality, food tech, or marketplace platforms
- Familiarity with Salesforce or a similar CRM for pipeline management
- Experience managing a commercial territory at a city or state level
You are:
- A natural team leader - people follow you because you set clear expectations, invest in their development, and back them when it counts
- Commercially sharp - you understand what drives revenue and you're quick to identify where risk is hiding
- Direct and clear - you give feedback well, communicate decisions with context, and don't let ambiguity sit unresolved
- Action-oriented - you don't wait for a perfect plan; you make a call, move the team, and adjust as you go
- Genuinely curious about the market - you want to understand why a postcode is underperforming, not just report that it is
Northern England will be EatClub's highest-performing market. Your team will be one of the most engaged and productive in the business. Sales will trust your read on the market and build their plans around it. Venues across Northern England will be retained, performing well, and growing, and you'll have a direct line of sight to that impact every week. Youβll also be in a strong position to grow with EatClub as it scales into new cities and markets internationally.
Maybe this role is not for you if:
- You prefer being an individual contributor - You're most comfortable in a highly structured environment with clear, unchanging priorities
- You want to own the sales or marketing function
- You like to wait for full information before making decisions
