A Day-in-a-Life of our BDM

As a Business Development Manager at Eat Club, you'll spend most of your time out in the market meeting venue owners, building genuine relationships and helping restaurants grow through our platform.

You’ll have ownership of your territory, with the support of the wider UK team as you build it.

Each day you’ll identify venues that are a great fit for Eat Club, plan your outreach and spend time meeting operators face‑to‑face, introducing the platform and demonstrating how it can help drive more customers through their doors.

Some venues will be ready to partner after a single conversation, while others will take a little longer.

Building strong relationships, maintaining momentum and following up consistently are all part of the role.

Between meetings you’ll manage your pipeline, update CRM records, prepare proposals and plan your next visits.

You’ll also work closely with colleagues across the business, sharing insights from the local hospitality market, feeding back what venue owners are telling you and helping shape how Eat Club expands into new cities across the UK.

This role suits someone who enjoys being out in the field, loves meeting new people, builds trust quickly and enjoys seeing the direct impact of their work on business growth.

On any given week, you will be

  • Prospect new restaurant partners through walk‑ins, phone calls and scheduled meetings.
  • Meet venue owners and operators across Manchester and the wider North West.
  • Deliver engaging product demonstrations that clearly communicate Eat Club’s value.
  • Build and manage a healthy pipeline of opportunities.
  • Negotiate and close commercial partnerships.
  • Support newly signed venues through onboarding and their first campaigns.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and pipeline activity.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to share learnings and improve sales approaches.

Type of projects you’ll be working on at Eat Club...

  • Launching Eat Club into
  • New

Markets: Help establish Eat Club in new North West towns and cities by identifying priority areas, building strong venue pipelines and creating lasting partnerships.

  • Improving Our Sales Playbook: Share customer feedback and market insights to continually improve our messaging, sales process and customer experience.
  • Supporting National Growth: As Eat Club expands into new regions, you’ll have opportunities to contribute to future city launches and play a key role in our wider growth journey

You have....

  • Experience in sales, business development or another customer‑facing commercial role.
  • Confidence reaching out to new businesses through a mix of in‑person visits, phone calls and meetings.
  • Experience managing your own pipeline and progressing opportunities independently.
  • Confidence presenting solutions and negotiating commercial agreements.
  • A proactive mindset and a willingness to learn and continuously improve.

It would be extra awesome if you also had...

  • Previously worked in hospitality, food tech, Saa S, or marketplace businesses.
  • An existing network within the hospitality industry.
  • Experience helping launch or grow a new territory or market.

You are...

  • Motivated by achieving goals and delivering great results.
  • Resilient and positive, seeing setbacks as opportunities to learn.
  • Curious and thoughtful, taking time to understand each venue’s business.
  • Organised and proactive, managing your time and pipeline effectively.
  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with your team.
  • Excited about building a long‑term career within a fast‑growing business.

Maybe this role is not for you if....

  • You prefer a desk‑based or fully remote role.
  • You don’t enjoy meeting new people or prospecting new businesses.
  • You prefer roles without measurable goals or performance targets.
  • You need highly structured days with little autonomy.
  • You're not able to work flexibly around hospitality trading hours when required.

We are currently interviewing for roles starting on July 14 or August 11, and selected candidates will be expected to begin on that date.

One last note: even if you feel that you don’t meet all the criteria above, we encourage you to apply.

Past work experience is not the only indicator of future success, and we are on the look out for hungry talent who wants to grow with us.

So if you want to be a part of something remarkable, then we’re excited to hear from you.
