Located in the heart of the City, Eataly London is a diverse, multi‑outlet operation that harmoniously combines retail, restaurants, bars, and various other departments to create an exceptional guest experience. As part of the Eataly London team, you'll contribute to our mission of sharing the rich flavours and traditions of Italy with our guests while fostering a vibrant atmosphere for friends and families to gather.
Location: London, EC2M 3YD, fully on-site
Contract type: Permanent, core hours Monday to Friday but with the occasional evening or weekend shift in case of specific events.
Aim: The Events & Partnerships Specialist is responsible for the strategic development, commercial performance and execution of experiential activity across Eataly London, including La Scuola B2C, catering growth and store‑wide festivals and building partnerships. This role plays a key part in driving footfall, revenue and brand positioning through curated experiences, partnerships and community engagement.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Events & Cooking School (B2C): Manages correspondence for classes, events and catering (B2C only), including enquiries, cancellations and scheduling from beginning to end, working closely with operations teams. Oversees School B2C activities including public classes and consumer experiences. Supports Sales & Events specialist with B2B during peak season or as and when required.
- Commercial Growth & Footfall – Partnerships & Catering: Responsible for generating and nurturing relationships and experiences that drive footfall into Eataly London. Scouts new business opportunities and builds strong relationships with existing clients and community partners. Expands and grows the Catering side of the business, identifying new revenue streams and external opportunities. Runs store tours for VIPs and potential partners when required. Works closely with the Digital Specialist to grow online visibility and attract new guest chefs and collaborators. Supports the drafting and review of partnership agreements in line with company approval processes. Ensures all collaborations comply with internal authorisation procedures and brand guidelines.
- Store‑Wide Festivals & Activations: Manages store‑wide festivals and experiential activations in collaboration with Marketing and Operations. Consults with suppliers and brand partners to organise in‑store events or sales‑driving initiatives (e.g. Wine Festival, seasonal activations). Organises and participates in storewide activities and partner events, fostering interdepartmental collaboration. Ensures all events are operationally feasible and aligned with store capacity, staffing levels and food production capabilities. Conducts post‑event debriefs with relevant department managers to identify improvements. Ensures all experiential activity aligns with Eataly brand positioning, tone of voice and corporate marketing direction. Ensures all events comply with food safety, allergen, licensing and health & safety requirements in collaboration with Operations and HR.
- Reporting & Financial Accountability: Collects and analyses data on sales, costs and trends for classes, catering and festivals to inform future strategy. Provides recaps, reporting, projections and forecasting to the Marketing Manager and Director of Store Operations. Analyses trends and supports copy production for event and promotional campaigns. Manages event and festival budgets, ensuring delivery within agreed financial parameters and target margins. Monitors event profitability and identifies cost‑control opportunities. Accountable for achieving agreed KPIs relating to revenue growth, footfall generation, catering sales and event profitability. Tracks enquiry‑to‑booking conversion rates and identifies improvement opportunities.
- Team Collaboration & Operational Support: Collaborates closely with the Sales & Events Specialist to ensure maximum output across the department. Covers other roles within the events team when required. Occasionally attends workshops, trade shows and conventions.
Requirements:
- 2+ years experience within events, ideally within hospitality.
- Previous experience in events, catering, marketing or hospitality environments.
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to drive revenue growth.
- Excellent organisational, project management and time management skills.
- Positive, guest‑first attitude.
- Flexible and collaborative mindset.
- Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
- Fluent spoken and written English (Italian advantageous).
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Right to work in the UK.
