We are seeking an experienced and dynamic chef to lead hands-on cooking classes at Eataly London. The ideal candidate will have a passion for traditional Italian cuisine, particularly the creation of fresh-filled pasta, and the ability to inspire and educate others through engaging, interactive cooking classes. This is a full-time, permanent position, and the chef will work directly with our guests to share their expertise and help elevate their culinary skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and teach cooking classes centered around traditional Italian cuisine, with a special focus on fresh filled pasta (e.g., ravioli, tortellini, agnolotti).
- Provide clear, engaging instruction for a diverse group of students, ensuring a memorable and educational experience for all participants.
- Curate class menus, recipes, and techniques, while emphasizing authenticity and high-quality ingredients.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment for both students and staff.
- Assist in creating special events, demonstrations, and workshops around Italian cuisine and culinary traditions.
- Collaborate with the Eataly culinary team to ensure consistency and quality in all class offerings.
- Support the broader culinary team with occasional event-based catering, tastings, and other initiatives.
Requirements
- Proven experience in teaching cooking classes, either as a freelance chef or full-time instructor, with a particular focus on Italian cuisine and pasta-making.
- Strong knowledge and experience in traditional Italian cooking techniques, particularly fresh pasta (stuffed and unstuffed).
- Ability to communicate complex cooking techniques in a clear, engaging, and approachable way.
- Must be available to work full-time; self-employed or freelance applicants cannot be considered for this role.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a passion for teaching and inspiring others.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
