As a Pastry Commis Chef, you will support the senior team in transforming high-quality ingredients into delicious pastries. Our open Pastry department is part of the experience at Eataly, this is a role where guest interaction is frequent. We create a variety of tarts, bignes, cakes, gelato, bespoke cakes, croissants and much more, all made with high-quality and fresh ingredients, and served in our café and in the restaurants. This role is creative and offers a great opportunity for someone with limited experience to learn the fundamentals of pastry and develop their career.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING...
- Participates in the production of all pastry items for Eataly’s counters and restaurants.
- Prepares pastries, tiramisu, cannoli, cookies, croissants, gelato, and other Italian desserts.
- Ensures that the kitchen area is cleaned throughout the day.
- Ensures the highest standards of hygiene and sanitation.
Requirements:
- Experience in pastry cooking either in a professional or further studies level.
- Availability to work flexibly according to a rota that will cover mornings, evenings, and weekends.
- Ability to cook to specifications and maintain brand standards.
- Strong teamwork skills.
- Fluent in English.
- Right to work in the UK.
