An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Community Manager to join Eat Work Art. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in social, people-focused environments, enjoys working toward clear results, and can remain calm, friendly, and solution-oriented during busy periods or challenging situations - all while delivering exceptional client service.
In recent years, we have expanded our portfolio with our first two freehold properties: Cornerstone Studios in Camberwell and Sunbury Workshops in Shoreditch. Both are Grade IIโlisted buildings full of character and home to some of our most dynamic creative residents.
We are now looking for an ambitious individual eager to grow, gain hands-on experience across multiple departments - including sales and operations - and take on responsibility for managing these buildings as part of the community team.

Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, 09:00 AM - 17:00 PM

Key Responsibilities
- Resident Experience and Outreach:
- Always maintain a welcoming and inviting presence, engaging in conversation with residents throughout the day.
- Assist the Resident Curation & Engagement Managers in achieving full studio occupancy with a focus on increasing occupancy.
- Foster community development by supporting and connecting residents.
- Act as the eyes and ears for general resident sentiment and advocate on their behalf to Senior Management, Maintenance and Development teams.
- Collaborate with the Marketing and Communications team to organise regular, engaging resident events and assist with managing resident communications and updates.
- Take the lead in organising and executing resident events.
- Develop and utilise your knowledge of local and neighbouring creative businesses to reach out and collaborate with the Commercial team in curating the community.
- Be an active participant in the wider Resident Experience strategy, contributing ideas for improvements, new processes and systems at weekly team meetings.
- Confidently present ideas for generating leads, increasing occupancy and improving retention.
- Oversee on-site facilities, including maintenance, cleaning, security, and waste, enhancing the daily experience to ensure residents appreciate their surroundings and feel proud to host their clients.
- Conduct regular site checks, such as fire alarm testing, incident reports, and risk assessments, ensuring prompt and accurate filing so that records are always up-to-date and easily accessible.
- Support the management of resident inquiries and ticketing system.
- Lead the site's improvement strategy, ensuring the highest quality services and environment for residents.
- Take full responsibility for the presentation of the lobby and front-of-house area.
- Run the building with authority and agency, ensuring other teams and external contractors are aware of the acceptable standards.
- Work towards personal KPIs while ensuring company KPIs are met to a high standard.
A minimum of 1 year of management experience is required. While the role is 95% based at Cornerstone Studios, the ability to commute to Shoreditch approximately twice a month is essential.
Exceptional client and customer service skills are necessary, along with the ability to communicate comfortably with a diverse range of people, adapting your approach to suit the situation. The candidate should be results-driven, with a proven ability to meet KPIs and deadlines effectively, proactive, confident, and able to take initiative.
