We are looking for a Procurement Manager to join our Procurement team at PROPER SNACKS, playing a critical role in supporting our growth and innovation agenda. You will lead the commercial management of our contract manufacturing base and ensure our NPD pipeline is underpinned by robust supplier strategy, competitive pricing and supply resilience. In this role, you will directly impact margin, speed-to-market and the strength of our supply chain as we continue to scale. This is a hybrid position based in Nuneaton 3 days/week.

This person will be a commercially minded procurement professional with a passion for delivering value and building strong supplier partnerships. They will be a proactive, curious thinker who is always looking for ways to strengthen supply, improve cost and unlock opportunity through smarter sourcing. Comfortable working at pace in a high-growth environment, they will be confident influencing stakeholders and bringing clarity and structure to complex decisions.

This role is responsible for managing contract manufacturing partners and leading procurement support for the NPD pipeline, ensuring strong commercial outcomes, supplier performance and supply chain resilience across all new product launches.

  • Own and manage relationships with contract manufacturers across the supply base
  • Develop and implement structured supplier relationship management, including performance scorecards
  • Lead supplier sourcing, selection, commercial negotiation and onboarding for all NPD activities
  • Partner closely with NPD, Marketing and Supply Chain teams to support new product launches
  • Conduct commercial due diligence to ensure robust supplier selection and competitive pricing
  • Build and maintain a strong understanding of contract manufacturing capabilities and capacity in the market
  • Proactively identify new suppliers to support innovation and dual-sourcing strategies
  • Manage and mitigate supply chain risk, including reducing reliance on sole-source suppliers
  • Deliver cost savings, value engineering initiatives and margin improvement opportunities
  • Monitor market trends and supplier performance to identify risks and opportunities
  • Support capacity planning and forecasting with key manufacturing partners

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in procurement, sourcing or supply chain roles (FMCG preferred)
  • Experience managing contract manufacturers or external production partners
  • Strong commercial acumen with proven negotiation capability
  • Experience supporting new product development or innovation pipelines
  • Ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and market insights
