Eat Just is on a mission to build a healthier, safer, and more sustainable food system—starting with what's on your plate. From pioneering plant-based eggs to making real meat without slaughter, we’re reimagining the future of food in ways that are better for people and the planet.
We’re looking for a commercially sharp Sales Manager to build and own Eat Just's UK market presence from the ground up. This is not a role where you inherit an established playbook—you will help write it.
You’ll be responsible for identifying the right customers, opening doors, closing business, and learning quickly what it takes to win in the UK market. Working closely with senior leadership, you’ll translate on-the-ground insights into clear priorities and a focused go-to-market approach for Just Egg and Just Meat.
This role requires a high degree of autonomy, sound commercial judgement, and comfort operating independently across time zones.
What You’ll Do- Growth Across Retail & Foodservice: Own and execute the UK sales strategy for Just Egg and Just Meat, aligned with Eat Just's global commercial priorities. Secure new retail listings and expand distribution with national and regional grocery, specialty, and e-commerce customers. Build and grow foodservice relationships across hospitality, QSR, contract catering, education, healthcare, and multi-site chains.
- Build & Manage Customer Relationships End-to-End: Identify and pursue retail, foodservice, and distribution partners across the UK. Own customer relationships from first conversation through contract, launch, and ongoing growth. Support menu development, planogram execution, tastings, training, and promotional activity to ensure successful launches.
- Partner with Distributors & Brokers: Activate and manage distributor and broker relationships, including onboarding, training, joint calls, and ongoing performance support. Ensure distributor execution aligns with Eat Just's brand, pricing, and growth objectives.
- Shape Go-to-Market Strategy: Develop pricing, positioning, and channel strategy based on in-market learnings and customer feedback. Lead UK commercialisation for new product launches and channel-specific initiatives. Provide accurate forecasting, pipeline management, and performance reporting.
- Bring UK Market Insight Back to the Business: Analyse market dynamics, competitive activity, and operator and retailer feedback. Share insights with Marketing, Culinary, and Product teams to inform UK execution and future innovation. Represent Eat Just at trade shows, customer meetings, and relevant industry events.
- 5+ years' experience in UK retail and/or foodservice sales, ideally within food, CPG, or emerging brands; plant-based experience is a plus.
- Deep understanding of UK routes to market, buying structures, and distributor models.
- Proven ability to open new accounts, support major launches, and drive sustained volume growth.
- Existing relationships with UK buyers, operators, distributors, and/or brokers.
- Experience managing multiple SKUs across varied customer types and channels.
- Strong commercial instincts with a pragmatic, results-oriented mindset.
- Highly self-directed and comfortable operating without a large local team or established infrastructure.
- Clear, confident communicator able to influence stakeholders across procurement, culinary, operations, and leadership.
- Genuine enthusiasm for the plant-based category and Eat Just's mission.
This is a remote role based in the UK; proximity to a major metropolitan area is preferred. Regular travel is required across the UK and, as needed, within the EU (approximately 30–40%), including customer visits, distributor meetings, and occasional team gatherings. A valid passport permitting international travel is required. A full, valid UK driving licence is required. Candidates must have the legal right to work in the UK.
