We're looking for a Media Coordinator to lead our press and media work, raising our profile, strengthening our influence, and ensuring that the stories we tell are powerful, ethical and impactful. This role is part-time (24 hours per week) and fixed term for 12 months, with the possibility of extension.
About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of Praxis' media function and shape how we are seen and heard in the public sphere. You'll develop and deliver a high-impact media strategy that positions Praxis as a trusted voice on immigration issues.
Working closely with our Head of Advocacy, Chief Executive Officer and wider Campaigns and Communications team, you'll:
- Build strong relationships with journalists, editors and producers
- Secure high-profile media opportunities
- Craft compelling press releases, opinion pieces and media briefings
- Support and prepare spokespeople, including people with lived experience, for media engagement
A key part of your role will be working collaboratively and ethically with experts by experience, ensuring their stories are shared safely, respectfully and with care.
