Introduction to the role:

Acting as the housing finance business partner, you will work within a busy supported housing department managing day-to-day income and expenditure and liaising with the finance department on budgets and ledger management. This role is heavily focused on rent and service charge setting, rent statements, liaising with welfare benefits teams and being the lead contact point for the internal housing & estates team.

Brief outline of the role:

You will be the lead person to deal with finance within a supported housing setting. You will be responsible for setting rents, managing tenant debt, providing finance support with repairs and maintenance projects. You will also work directly with internal and external stakeholders providing reports and finance statements to support the service and the people housed. You will work with the Housing director and Head of Housing & Estates as the lead for comms with local authorities and welfare benefit departments. You will need to have strong clear communication skills and the ability to work alone on financial documents.
