Our client is seeking an exceptional strategic leader to join us as Director of Consumer Codes on a 12-month maternity cover contract. This is a pivotal senior role at the heart of consumer protection across the UK’s fast-growing renewable energy and low-carbon markets.
They operate several high-profile consumer protection and dispute-resolution schemes, including:
- Renewable Energy Consumer Code (RECC)
- Electric Vehicle Consumer Code for Home Chargepoints (EVCC)
- EV Roam
- Green Homes Dispute Resolution
As Director of Consumer Codes, you will steer the strategic direction, governance and delivery of these schemes, ensuring they remain robust, trusted and aligned with their mission and organisational strategy. This is a rare opportunity to shape consumer protection across rapidly expanding low-carbon markets, and to make a meaningful contribution to the UK’s transition to clean energy. You'll work at senior leadership level, help set organisational strategy, and play a visible role across industry, government and consumer-facing organisations.
This role is offered on a hybrid basis, with a minimum of three days each week in their Central London office. Our client is at the forefront of driving the growth of renewable energy and supporting the circular economy. Through a wide array of certification and consumer protection initiatives, we ensure that businesses and consumers are empowered to make sustainable choices with confidence. They operate nine schemes in the renewable energy and circular economy sectors.
