They are seeking a motivated, organised, and experienced Deputy Manager to support the Nursery Manager and lead their team to deliver the very best standards of care and education.

The Role

As Deputy Manager, you will:

  • Support the Nursery Manager with the day-to-day running of the nursery, taking charge in their absence.
  • Act as a strong role model for staff, ensuring high standards of teaching, learning, and care.
  • Work closely with room leaders to ensure quality routines, continuous provision, and environments reflect the Curiosity Approach ethos.
  • Support with staff development – coaching, mentoring, and ensuring consistency in practice.
  • Contribute to administrative and office duties such as occupancy management, registers, staff rotas, observations, and parent communication.
  • Maintain high standards of safeguarding, health and safety, and compliance across the nursery.
  • Support with planning, SEND provision, and transitions, ensuring all children’s needs are met.
  • Play an active role in developing ideas for seasonal planning, events, and nursery projects.

About You

They are looking for someone who is:

  • Qualified to Level 3 or above in Early Years (Level 5 desirable).
  • Experienced in a senior or leadership role within an early years setting.
  • Passionate about the Curiosity Approach and child-led learning.
  • A confident leader and communicator, able to motivate staff and build strong relationships with parents.
  • Organised, reliable, and able to manage both people and paperwork.
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding, EYFS, SEND, and Ofsted requirements.
