Salary: Up to £38,111.57 per annum pro rata depending on skills and experience
Hours: Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon/evenings till 9pm - 14.8 hours per week.

The Role
Our client has an innovative vision in delivering high quality education to a wide range of learners. Alongside a comprehensive range of Level 1 – Level 3 vocational programmes are offered in areas which include Creative and Media, Business, Child Care, Health & Social Care, Forensic Science, ICT, Music, Performing Arts, Public Services and Sport allowing students the opportunity to progress onto more challenging courses or into Higher Education. Foundation Learning provision is also available for students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities. You will be joining a committed team of practitioners within the curriculum area of Access to Higher Education and Teacher Training. The team are committed and driven to ensure the best experiences are given to the learners through innovative teaching and learning in a well-resourced College.
The post will involve the delivery and assessment of a portfolio of courses in Teacher Education, undertaking individual tutorials and actively participating in curriculum development. Course Leadership and internal verification responsibilities will also be involved in the job role.
Main Duties for this role include:
- To teach on a range of programmes at all levels, including preparation of schemes of work, lesson plans and preparation, lesson delivery and marking of course work.
- To take tutorial responsibility for students, including pre-course assessment, their enrolment, induction, pastoral care and review of progress.
- To participate in and to contribute to curriculum development and review, including the development and introduction of new courses.
- To liaise with external agencies, including validating bodies, employers and placement providers.
- To take personal and professional responsibility for keeping up-to-date in Teacher Education.
