An organisation within the healthcare and procurement services sector is seeking a highly motivated BI Developer to join its team. In this role, you will focus on building a new reporting portfolio to support a major business transformation programme and long‑term growth objectives. You will also assist in maintaining and enhancing existing BI dashboards and reports to support ongoing and evolving operational BAU needs. This includes operational KPIs, commercial opportunity analysis, management information and more, for both internal and external stakeholders.
The role offers the opportunity to further develop core BI skills across a broad range of areas such as front‑end visualisations, data modelling and data preparation/wrangling, across Fabric/Power BI and Tableau platforms. Working as part of a wider Data & Insight team, you will take an active interest in the organisation’s business, building knowledge and experience that will be invaluable to delivering high‑quality commercial reports and insights. DUTIES (included, but not limited to):
- Acting as the main resource for building and maintaining new procurement‑related reporting in Tableau.
- Providing second‑line support for the Power BI reporting and dashboard portfolio.
- Working through an ongoing backlog of enhancement requests and fixes to dashboards and reports, managed through an internal casework system.
- Delivering project‑based work to support the development of new reporting capabilities and outputs.
- Creating new or modifying existing visualisations and data models in Power BI and Excel, translating structured and unstructured data into useful insights and actionable recommendations.
- Interfacing with key data sources via a Fabric platform, data files (Excel, CSV, etc.) and SharePoint.
- Supporting analytical cases, from simple to more advanced, by learning datasets and working closely with stakeholders.
- Partnering commercially by developing and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external customers.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Experience using Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.
- Data visualisation experience (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik or similar).
- Basic data manipulation skills, such as data cleansing or standardisation.
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Proven ability to deliver accurate work in line with requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and natural analytical ability.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent time management skills.
