Technical Architect(16002)Description
TEAM
The In-flight Retail Technology team is responsible for the applications and third-party relationships that support easyJet’s In-flight retail business. You will be the actively involved in small to complex changes covering the flow of flight, scheduling data from easyJet to the retail logistics partner, on-board epos, closed-loop Wi-Fi, and pre-order capability for easyJet customers. The team manage the overall scope of easyJet’s IT delivery for In-flight retail, including technology and lifecycle management, service & change management, and support.
JOB PURPOSE
Working in a dynamic environment the Technical Architect is responsible for the technical design of applications and platforms within the IT estate, adhering to enterprise standards and best practice. The role works closely with enterprise architects, solution architects, business analysts, developers, and delivery managers to deliver IT Change that meets the needs of projects and programmes within easyJet’s enterprise portfolio. In addition, the role sets out the technical roadmap for the various systems within their remit.
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
> Accountable for preparing and maintaining technical architecture artefacts for In-flight retail technology, including AS-IS, TO-BE and transitional states
> Accountable to prepare or support with designing and documenting technical solutions that meet functional and non-functional requirements.
> Collaborating with enterprise architecture and peers to identify and agree the technical standards, frameworks, tooling, and patterns for technical solutions adhering to enterprise standards and best practice.
> Supporting solution architects in the creation of end-to-end architecture. Accountable for the related technical design and any amendments resulting from Technical Design Assurance
> Provide technical expertise, guidance and technical assurance to developers/engineers ensuring consistency and conformity to agreed standards.
> Collaborate with key business stakeholders to identify existing or future exploitable opportunities to drive business value
> Actively contribute at all stages of the development lifecycle ensuring technical architecture standards are considered
> Work with onshore and nearshore development teams as required, including occasional travel
