Stores Operative
The Stores Operative plays a crucial role in the smooth execution of daily planned maintenance activities and in maintaining the station\'s stock levels. With a keen eye for detail, this role is responsible for the precise preloading of materials and the swift return of unserviceable components. At easyJet, we prioritize the highest safety standards, and as a Stores Operative, you will ensure that our in-house maintenance activities align with both regulatory standards and easyJet’s industry-leading safety and technical benchmarks.
What you’ll be doing
- As a Stores Operative, you will be responsible for ensuring all material and tooling shipments are inspected for damage and handled promptly.
- Your duties include the acceptance and receipt of materials and spares for planned maintenance activities and stock replenishment.
- You will support operations by managing COAS (carriage of air spares) requirements and liaising with material and commercial stock suppliers to ensure station operating minimums are met.
- A key part of your role will be supporting the production planning process by pre-loading aircraft spares and materials for the upcoming night\\\'s work.
- You will manage any damaged items by placing them in quarantine until discrepancies are resolved and ensure the prompt return of unserviceable parts according to company processes.
- Additionally, you will assist in monitoring the calibration periods of tooling and equipment to ensure they are not exceeded, control the loaning of tools to other bases, and ensure compliance with health and safety requirements, communicating these to others when necessary.
- Finally, you will ensure that company and contracted customer policies are adhered to at all times.
What you’ll need to do the role
- We are looking for candidates with a background in engineering, stores, or tooling.
- Flexibility is key, as you will need to meet deadlines and handle operational challenges.
- A current Full UK driving license is required for this role.
- The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail and proficiency in IT.
