Overview
As Engineering Manager at easyJet, you lead engineers across multiple squads within a Mission, shaping how technology teams operate at scale. You’ll foster healthy team cultures, develop future leaders and improve engineering practices to deliver sustainable outcomes. You work closely with Product and Mission Leads to ensure delivery value while maintaining high standards and technical credibility. This role offers a meaningful impact on how engineering supports the airline’s operations and growth.

Responsibilities
- Lead, coach and develop Engineering Leads and Senior Engineers across multiple squads
- Establish healthy, sustainable ways of working and address team engagement and retention
- Identify delivery risks, remove obstacles and protect team focus
- Collaborate with Product teams and Mission leadership to support outcomes
- Raise engineering standards and practices across software delivery
- Attract, hire and develop engineering talent and successors
- Maintain technical credibility across modern software delivery, cloud technologies and operations
Key requirements
- Experience leading engineers across multiple teams in a modern software environment
- Proven track record of developing people and fostering healthy team cultures
- Strong stakeholder management and ability to influence decisions
- Experience recruiting, developing and retaining engineering talent
- Technical credibility in cloud services, CI/CD and modern practices
- Familiarity with AWS, Kubernetes and Mission-and-Squad operating models (beneficial)
- Experience supporting agile software delivery across multiple teams
