The Development team at easyJet Holidays plays a crucial role in differentiating our company by developing our website and all proprietary software. The Senior Software Engineer, you\’ll work closely with our development teams to create and support both new and existing solutions. This role involves applying our quality standards to all projects, supporting development teams by designing and documenting technical solutions, providing technical expertise, and performing code reviews to ensure consistency with our standards. The Senior Developer will also stay updated with current software development trends and innovations that could benefit easyJet’s strategy. What you\’ll be doing: In this role, you\’ll support and guide the development and product teams towards better solutions and help them navigate potential issues. You will set standards for the teams and coach them on improved development and project management techniques. Working with business stakeholders, you will help them understand the constraints of our systems and explore new possibilities. Your contributions will be pivotal in delivering world-class development that shapes the future of the company. Requirements of the Role What will be required from you: You\’ll have a proven track record in developing solutions using technologies like .NET, .NET Core, , and various JavaScript libraries such as React, Angular, and jQuery. Experience with Sitecore and other CMSs, HTML/CSS, source control tools like GIT, and build and CI tools like Team City are also essential. You should be well-versed in Agile development practices, testing at multiple levels including TDD and BDD, and capable of developing solutions in a high-transaction, high-availability enterprise environment. A solid understanding of the full software development lifecycle and practical use of cloud technologies, specifically AWS, is required.
