TEAM
The Procurement Team manage a significant proportion of the total easyJet external spend and revenue which amounts to over £3 billion per annum, covering Customer, Operations including Engineering and Maintenance, Fuel and Ground Handling, Commercial, Business, Corporate, Finance, People and IT functions.
CATEGORY FOCUS
Although the job descriptions across Procurement are generic for the same grade, the commodity category focussed on will be different and may change from time to time in line with individual career development needs and the changing demands of the business. The initial category of focus for this role is Engineering & Maintenance, reporting to the Lead Procurement Manager (E&M). The E&M category team is responsible for the sourcing of easyJet’s Heavy Base Maintenance, Light Base Maintenance, Line Maintenance, Spares Components, Powerplant and Airframe requirements across all of the locations we operate to. In addition to this, they are actively involved in contract and supplier management activity. The E&M category team work closely with suppliers in the aviation aftermarket, including Original Equipment Manufacturer’s (OEMs) on our existing and future supplier relationships.
JOB PURPOSE
- The Procurement Manager is allocated a portfolio of spend for which he/she assists the Lead Procurement Manager in producing and delivering a Procurement Category Plan.
- In order to deliver the Procurement Category Plan, under the guidance of the Lead Procurement Manager, the Procurement Manager will be required to complete spend and market analysis, stakeholder and supplier engagement plans.
- Deliver commercial value through the end-to-end tender processes and, as agreed with the Lead Procurement Manager conduct selected portions of the tenders either by groups of locations and/or participating suppliers.
- Actively seek opportunities to drive value and cost savings from easyJet’s supply chain.
- Ensure all supply chain arrangements have adequate contractual coverage and that sourcing activities are planned well in advance of contract expiry.
- Maintain a full and accurate picture of contracts and suppliers as relevant to the category.
- Ensure that easyJet receives best value from its expenditure by directly managing allocated supplier relationships at account manager level.
- Promote great SRM across the category and with all category-related suppliers, and assist business partners at working level in resolution of any issues that arise with suppliers.

- Continually learn about developments in the wider industry, so as to assist in keeping the Category Strategy up to date, progressive and meaningful.
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Assist in developing and implementing clear short / mid / long term strategies to drive value on the allocated category of spend.
- Collaborate effectively with the business areas that have an interest in the category.
- Influence a range of key internal stakeholders to support the commercial procurement process and subsequent contract award decisions.
- Build relationships with suppliers at account manager and senior level to leverage easyJet’s strategic importance and maximise the impact of the tender process.
- In line with the Category Strategy set up, manage and complete sourcing projects, tenders, approvals and contracts in Workday/Scout.
- Prepare and populate tender evaluation models with the proposals received from suppliers.
- Negotiate contract pricing and terms with supplier account managers to secure market-leading terms for goods/services and develop the internal recommendations for contract awards using an appropriate tender evaluation model.
- Working with Legal, draft framework contracts and other agreements from the easyJet templates or from the supplier proposal and obtain approvals and contract signatures via DocuSign.
- Ensure compliance in the sourcing process, applying and completing easyJet governance requirements accurately and in a timely fashion and operate the tender process with full transparency and maximum effectiveness.
- Ensure all sourcing documentation is complete and accurate and stored in approved locations such as Sharepoint and Workday/Scout.
- Ensure that supplier and/or contract data utilised in any company systems that utilise supplier or contract data is adequately managed and kept up to date.
- Produce analysis, reports and presentations that support the promotion of Procurement within easyJet, highlight the effectiveness of procurement activities and contribute to effective supplier management activities.
- Deputise for the Lead Procurement Manager and actively assist in the development of any category Procurement Executives.

LOCATION & HOURS OF WORK
