The Team
Join our dynamic UK PR team, where you will play a crucial role in shaping easyJet’s public image and managing our communications strategy. You will work closely with the Head of UK PR and Public Affairs, leading a talented team dedicated to promoting and defending our brand in the media.
The Role
- Developing and implementing an integrated communications strategy to enhance and defend our reputation
- Managing the UK Press Office team to ensure timely and effective media responses
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key consumer and travel media
- Leading crisis response efforts and ensuring the team is prepared for any situation
- Overseeing the delivery of proactive media campaigns and managing PR agencies
- Producing high-quality communications materials, including press releases and briefings
- Organising high-profile media events and managing budgets effectively
What we’re looking for:
- Demonstrable experience in consumer and corporate public relations, particularly with high-profile brands
- Proven track record in leading successful media campaigns and managing media relationships
- Strong event management skills and experience in media training for spokespeople
- Creative thinker with the ability to develop ideas aligned with company strategy
- Excellent writing and communication skills, with a strong commercial awareness
- Ability to manage a team effectively in high-pressure situations
- Familiarity with the airline or transport industry is advantageous
