The Team

You’ll join our Crew Planning team, which oversees the entire crew supply chain – from recruitment and training to planning and rostering. The Crew Analytics team provides insight into crew utilisation, roster efficiency, training optimisation, productivity and operational performance. Working closely with Crew Planning and wider Operations and Analytics colleagues, you’ll use data to deliver clear, actionable insight that supports both day-to-day decision-making and longer-term planning in a high-volume, low-margin operating environment.

The Role

As a Senior Insight Analyst, you’ll:

  • Define, refine, and own metrics, definitions, and analytical logic to ensure consistent, trusted, and decision-ready insight
  • Use SQL and advanced analytical techniques to extract, transform, validate, and analyse complex data from multiple sources to support evidence-based decision-making in Crew Planning
  • Build and maintain dashboards and automated analytical outputs that support ongoing performance monitoring
  • Lead exploratory, diagnostic, and ad-hoc analysis to answer specific operational questions and inform decision-making
  • Review and develop trends and model projections to identify operational challenges and potential solutions
  • Provide relevant and timely operational insights on current performance to Crew Planning and senior stakeholders
  • Communicate insights and findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leaders
  • Recommend tools, capabilities, and best practices to help optimise Crew Planning performance
  • Foster a data-driven culture, creating a single version of the truth to promote data-led decision-making
  • Proactively generate and test hypotheses, taking ownership of solving problems and driving continuous improvement
  • Manage multiple analytical topics, prioritising and delivering high-quality outputs in a fast-paced operational environment
  • Coach and support colleagues, sharing expertise and developing talent within the team

What we’re looking for:

  • Degree or postgraduate qualification in a numerical, analytical, or quantitative discipline, or equivalent practical experience
  • Substantial experience in analytics, data analysis, or a problem-solving role, ideally with experience influencing senior stakeholders
  • Advanced SQL skills, with experience extracting, transforming, and analysing data from large, complex datasets; experience with Python or similar analytical languages is desirable
  • Experience with, or commitment to learn, data visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau, ThoughtSpot, Power BI)
  • Strong data handling and analytical skills, including data validation, interpretation, and translating analysis into actionable insight
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment and delivering high-quality analysis under time pressure
  • Self-motivated and outcomes-focused, able to work independently across multiple analytical topics
  • Organised, adaptable, and comfortable with ambiguity and change
  • Ability to communicate analytical insight clearly and confidently to technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior leaders
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships and influence at all levels
  • Curious mindset, with a willingness to continuously develop analytical, technical, and domain knowledge
  • Demonstrable experience of using data to drive business decisions in a commercial setting
  • Ability to align business needs with analytical delivery, while remaining credible and confident in explaining analytical approaches and outputs

What you’ll get in return:

  • Competitive base salary
  • Up to 20% maximum bonus
  • 7% pension contributions
  • Excellent staff travel benefits
  • Days of annual leave + bank holidays
  • BAYE, SAYE & Performance Share Schemes
