- THE TEAM
You’ll join our Record to Report (R2R) Finance team, a critical part of easy Jet’s finance function responsible for delivering robust accounting, controls, and financial reporting across the business.
Working closely with Central FP&A, Group Financial Control, and Finance Transformation teams, you’ll play a leading role in establishing and embedding a dedicated Central Costs team while helping prepare the function for the future implementation of Oracle Fusion.
THE ROLE
This is a key leadership role reporting to the Head of R2R, with responsibility for overseeing all accounting, controls, and reporting activities across Central Costs.
Leading a team of seven, including two direct reports, you’ll ensure financial accuracy, strengthen governance, and provide valuable insight that supports business decision-making.
This 12-15 month fixed-term contract offers a unique opportunity to shape a newly established Central Costs team, transition activities from across finance, identify opportunities for improvement, and support the business through a significant transformation programme.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Leading all accounting, control, and reporting activities across Central Costs.
- Owning the accuracy of the balance sheet and profit and loss accounts for areas of responsibility.
- Ensuring timely completion and review of reconciliations, journals, and month-end activities.
- Providing financial insight, analysis, and reporting to Central FP&A and Group Financial Control.
- Acting as the key contact for internal and external audits.
- Driving improvements in financial processes, controls, reporting, and supplier management.
- Producing meaningful variance analysis against budget, forecast, and prior year performance.
- Supporting half-year and full-year reporting requirements.
- Identifying risks, opportunities, and cost trends to support strategic decision-making.
- Working closely with Finance Transformation teams to prepare for Oracle Fusion implementation and embed future process changes.
- Building strong relationships across finance and the wider business to support performance and delivery.
- Leading, developing, and motivating a high-performing team.
- What We’re Looking For
- Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
- Significant post-qualification experience within a complex finance environment.
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and sound professional judgement.
- Experience leading finance or transactional accounting teams.
- Proven ability to manage complex accounting processes and reporting activities.
- Experience owning balance sheet controls, reconciliations, and audit requirements.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to influence at senior manager and director level.
- Confidence communicating financial information to both finance and non-finance audiences.
- Excellent leadership skills with a track record of developing teams and delivering results.
- Strong systems and technical capability, including advanced Excel skills. Experience with VBA, SQL, ERP systems, or finance transformation programmes would be advantageous.
- A proactive approach, strong ownership mindset, and ability to work independently in a changing environment.

- PRACTICALITIES
This full-time role will be based in Luton and will be 40 hours per week. We support hybrid working and we spend 60% of our time per month in the office.
