The Team
Reporting to the Head of Performance Transformation within FP&A, this role is an integral part of the Financial Planning & Analysis team. You’ll lead finance for our Enterprise Portfolio-enabling our digital products & platforms capability and tracking delivery of portfolio initiatives-while business partnering the Technology & Data function (including e Commerce).
The Role
As Senior Finance Manager - Technology & Data, you’ll provide end to end financial leadership and business partnering across Technology & Data, covering Enterprise Portfolio, Infrastructure, Innovation and the newly established e Commerce team focused on digital product development. You’ll set governance across easyJet’s investment portfolio to prioritise, sequence and deliver with financial discipline-enabling speed, innovation and value creation. You’ll lead a team of four, blending product led financial thinking with enterprise portfolio management and executive level decision support.
Key accountabilities
- Business partnering
- Primary finance partner to Enterprise Portfolio leadership and the Technology & Data function
- Translate enterprise strategy into clear technology and digital investment choices backed by robust financial insight
- Support executive trade offs across resilience, scalability and innovation; balance long term asset investment with near term value
- Digital product, technology & infrastructure financial leadership
- Lead financial oversight for digital product portfolios, core platforms and infrastructure investments
- Apply product led practices alongside traditional appraisal (lifecycle costing, NPV, TCO)
- Partner with Product, Engineering, Data and Infrastructure leaders to ensure commercial viability, scalability and resilience
- Challenge siloed thinking and focus on end to end value streams
- Enterprise portfolio management & governance
- Own financial governance across infrastructure, business change, technology and digital products
- Embed consistent investment appraisal, benefits tracking and value realisation across CapEx and OpEx
- Drive portfolio prioritisation and sequencing; align delivery with financial plans and long term strategy
- Planning, forecasting & performance management
- Lead budgeting, forecasting and multi year planning for Infrastructure, Technology, Data and Digital Product portfolios
- Provide transparent views of run vs change, asset vs product, CapEx vs OpEx and fixed vs variable cost structures
- Track performance against plans, highlighting risks, opportunities and corrective actions
- Support long range planning for major infrastructure and platform investments
- Stakeholder leadership & influence
- Trusted advisor to senior leaders across Infrastructure, Technology, Product and Portfolio teams
- Bridge Finance, Infrastructure, Technology, Product and PMO communities; raise financial maturity across delivery teams
- Partner and challenge Technology & Data (including e Commerce) transformation investments
- Provide thought leadership; evolve financial processes and reporting for a product team led delivery model
- Define and track clear OKRs across the agile delivery pipeline; ensure robust business cases and investment appraisals
- People leadership
- Build and lead a high performing team, providing subject matter expertise to diverse stakeholders
- Guide analysis and modelling that produces actionable insights; role model leadership within Finance
- Maintain effective cross functional relationships (including Holidays Finance); contribute to strategy, plans and priorities

Requirements of the Role
What we’re looking for
- Proven experience in finance or investment roles in complex, technology driven organisations
- Strong understanding of digital transformation, agile delivery and technology operating models; exposure to cloud, SaaS and agile based investment modelling
- Expertise in financial planning, analysis and governance of capital investments (technology/data)
- Experience supporting portfolio management, benefits tracking, business case development and reporting tools (e.g. ThoughtSpot, Power BI)
- Financial literacy via ACCA, ACA, CIMA, economics or a related discipline
- 8-15 years in senior finance or finance business partnering roles
- Hands on experience in mature digital product environments, with exposure to infrastructure/platform investments
- Proven track record partnering with Infrastructure, Technology, Data, Product and Portfolio leaders at enterprise scale with complex CapEx/OpEx trade offs
- Familiarity with agile, product centric and traditional delivery models
- Strong knowledge of strategy development, process management, budgeting and operations
- Demonstrated ability in talent management, organisational design, learning & development and resourcing
- Excellent project management, leadership and communication skills

Practicalities
This full-time role will be based in Luton and will be 40 hours per week. We support hybrid working and we spend 60% of our time per month in the office.
