THE TEAM
Reporting to the Head of Finance - Fleet, Engineering and Maintenance, you'll join a key FP&A function that provides financial ownership of costs and capital expenditure associated with easyJet's fleet of over 350 aircraft. You'll lead a team of 4-5 people and work closely with Fleet Planning and Procurement, Aircraft Trading, and Engineering and Maintenance teams.
THE ROLE
You'll take full responsibility for FP&A and business partnering activities supporting Fleet Planning and Procurement, Aircraft Trading, and Engineering and Maintenance. You'll provide insight and guidance on actuals, forecasts, budgets, and strategic plans, driving cost-saving initiatives and supporting the overall strategic plan. You’ll act as the primary finance business partner for Fleet and E&M, offering counsel and support to business owners and senior leaders. You'll deliver presentations to senior executives, drive business initiatives, prompt strategic interventions, and serve as a subject matter expert on financial insight and analysis. You’ll lead and motivate your team, build effective cross-functional relationships, and ensure robust business cases and investment appraisals. You'll operate with a high degree of self-management, making recommendations to Directors and the wider business.
REQUIREMENTS OF THE ROLE
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Professional qualification in finance ACCA, ACA, CIMA or economics, or applicable discipline
- Minimum of 5 years' experience managing a business partner environment in a similar EMEA or global organisation
- Strong knowledge of business strategy development, business process management, budgeting and business operations
- Proven experience in managing and developing talent and driving high performance
- Excellent project management skills and proven leadership and communication ability
- Good understanding of balance sheet and cash flow implications, plus P&L experience
- Experience operating at senior manager level and supporting Directors
- Track record of delivery through influencing and building strong relationships
- Able to communicate and challenge effectively with key stakeholders at senior levels
- Able to demonstrate the commercial value of Finance interventions or projects
- Ability to work on own initiative, taking minimal direction and offering solutions
- Self-starter with high levels of motivation and enthusiasm
- Aviation experience preferred but not essential

PRACTICALITIES
This full-time role will be based in Luton and will be 40 hours per week. We support hybrid working and we spend 60% of our time per month in the office.
