About the Role

We are seeking a Platform Engineering Specialist to join our Identity and Access Management (IDAM) Platform team. You will play a key role in designing, building, testing, and scaling services within the IDAM Platform, ensuring seamless delivery of IT services. This is a hands-on technical role, collaborating closely with architects, product/platform teams, security, and network specialists to deliver stable, high-performing, and secure platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable and secure infrastructure for the IDAM Platform
  • Oversee platform upgrades, version updates, and patch deployments
  • Ensure all deliverables are well-documented, reusable, and tested to high standards
  • Automate tasks and processes to improve platform reliability and efficiency
  • Provide technical expertise for maintenance, support, and troubleshooting
  • Implement and evaluate automation tools and technologies
  • Collaborate on disaster recovery planning and execution
  • Ensure security and compliance by design, working with the InfoSec team
  • Contribute to technology evaluation, selection, and continuous improvement
  • Support the creation and execution of automation strategies for I&O Platforms

What We’re Looking For

  • Extensive experience in an Identity or Security team
  • Strong background in designing scalable and reliable technology platforms
  • Demonstrable experience managing infrastructure components (servers, cloud, databases, security systems, etc.)
  • Proficiency in IT service management (ITSM) and ITIL
  • Experience with agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Lean, etc.)
  • Strong scripting skills (PowerShell essential; Terraform, Python, C#, VBScript advantageous)
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Knowledge of containerisation tools (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless platforms
  • Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, and negotiation skills
  • Experience managing third-party suppliers

Specific Skills for Identity and Access Management

  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, Azure, GCP, and AWS
  • Expertise in Conditional Access Policies, MFA, Privileged Identity Management, and modern authentication protocols
  • Experience with monitoring, log analytics, and enterprise application onboarding
  • Strong knowledge of Role Based Access Control, Federation, and Entitlements
  • Active Directory Connect/sync, Group Policy Management, DNS, DHCP, PKI Services
  • Proven experience automating Microsoft Entra ID management using PowerShell
  • Familiarity with Privileged Access Management (e.g., CyberArk) and Identity Governance
  • Microsoft certifications in Azure, Security, and Identity and Access Administration
  • Servant leadership approach, supporting team growth and success
