The Team

You’ll be part of our dynamic Finance team, working at the heart of Revenue Accounting. We’re a collaborative group, passionate about delivering robust financial results and supporting the business as we continue to grow and innovate.

The Role

As Finance Manager – Revenue Accounting, you’ll support the Senior Finance Manager in delivering accurate passenger and partner revenue reporting for month‐end, quarterly, and year‐end close. You’ll own monthly stats and all related revenue accounts, ensuring certainty and confidence in the numbers. Leading a small team of three, you’ll account for approximately £9 bn of revenue, manage the annual audit process, and drive continuous improvement in reporting and systems. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders, support system transformation projects, and ensure all internal customer needs are met or exceeded.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining accuracy and confidence in reported numbers.
  • Developing and improving monthly reporting processes.
  • Supporting revenue accounting and reporting for system transformation projects.
  • Identifying and managing accounting, control, and business risks.
  • Building strong relationships with internal customers and stakeholders.
  • Leading the annual audit process for your areas of accountability.
  • Reviewing balance sheet accounts and managing risks and opportunities.
  • Assisting with budgets, re‐forecasts, and revenue projects.
  • Driving continuous improvement and supporting system changes for new products and programmes.

Requirements of the Role

What we’re looking for:

  • Professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with relevant post‐qualification experience.
  • Graduate/strong academic record.
  • High attention to detail and ability to interpret accounting complexity.
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience managing and developing teams.
  • Excellent decision‐making and problem‐solving abilities.
  • Proactive, enquiring mind‐set and a drive for continuous improvement.
  • Ability to communicate confidently with finance and non‐finance stakeholders at all levels.
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with computerised accounting packages, ideally Agresso and TM1.
  • Ability to manage time effectively across multiple tasks and projects.

This full‐time role will be based in Luton and will be 40 hours per week. We support hybrid working and we spend 60% of our time per month in the office.
