THE TEAM
You'll join our Record to Report (R2R) Finance team, supporting the accounting, reporting, and control of Central Costs across easyJet. Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you'll provide financial oversight and insight across a wide range of indirect cost areas, helping ensure cost efficiency, robust controls, and high-quality financial reporting.
THE ROLE
Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager Central Costs, you'll take ownership of accounting and reporting across key overhead cost centres, ensuring accurate financial reporting, robust controls, and meaningful insight for business leaders. This is a varied role offering exposure to multiple areas of the business, including People, IT, Facilities, Marketing, Finance, Professional Services, and Insurance. You'll play an important role in supporting decision-making, identifying efficiencies, and driving continuous improvement across central cost processes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing accounting and reporting activities across central overhead cost centres.
- Owning month-end close activities, including journals, accruals, provisions, and reconciliations.
- Providing insightful analysis of costs, trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Supporting accurate balance sheet and profit and loss reporting.
- Managing accounting activities relating to insurance costs and associated financial reporting.
- Supporting financial oversight of marketing expenditure and forecasting.
- Acting as a key contact for audit and control-related activities.
- Maintaining a robust financial control environment.
- Driving process improvements, automation, and reporting enhancements.
- Building strong relationships across Finance and the wider business to support decision-making and performance.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified - plus 3+ years post qualified experience.
- Strong technical accounting and financial control experience.
- Experience working in a large, fast-paced, or complex business environment.
- A proactive approach with the confidence to challenge and improve existing processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver to deadlines.
- Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with financial systems.
- Experience with Agresso, TM1, or similar finance systems would be beneficial.

PRACTICALITIES
This full-time role will be based in Luton and will be 40 hours per week. We support hybrid working and we spend 60% of our time per month in the office.
