As a Consumer Claims Paralegal, you will coordinate and process consumer legal challenges arising from operational disruptions. You will assess claims related to delays and cancellations, determine which cases to legally challenge and which to settle, and manage cases end‑to‑end in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of litigated consumer claims from initial receipt through settlement or final hearing.
- Process claims for compensation and refunds in line with EasyJet’s Terms and Conditions, EU261 legislation, and the Montreal Convention.
- Draft legal documents including defences, witness statements, and trial preparation materials.
- Coordinate cases, settlements and judgments with internal and external legal representatives across multiple jurisdictions.
- Access and analyse aviation operational systems to support legal defences and out‑of‑court settlements.
- Secure and preserve evidence related to disruption management decisions in cooperation with operational teams.
- Provide support to the Disputes team and advise customer‑service on EU261 and broader consumer‑law queries, including those from regulators and enforcement bodies.
- Maintain accurate databases, systems and reports relating to flight disruptions and claims.
