Role Overview:
We are seeking a qualified Employment Lawyer to join our Employment Legal Team within easyJet’s General Counsel’s Office (GCO). This role is pivotal in providing strategic, pragmatic, and commercially focused legal services to easyJet’s businesses across the UK and Europe.

What Will You Do:
– Provide legal advice on a wide range of employment and labour law issues across multiple EU jurisdictions and identifying any training needs for the business.
– Manage industrial relations matters, including collective grievances, disputes process with our employee representative bodies and support with negotiation strategies.
– Oversee employment litigation and advise on litigation strategies.
– Support business projects such as new base openings, acquisitions, and TUPE transfers.
– Keep the business updated on legislative changes and ensure compliance across the different countries.
– Manage external counsel and work towards reducing external legal costs.

Who We Are Looking For:
– A qualified employment lawyer with knowledge of employment law in at least one of easyJet’s key base locations (UK, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland). Experience across a number of these jurisdictions is preferred but not essential.
– 4-7 years of post-qualification experience in employment law, with a preference for candidates who have both law firm and in-house experience.
– Individuals who are proactive, self-motivated, and capable of working under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
– Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships and influence at a senior level.
– A team player with a strong sense of ownership and delivery.
