INSURANCE ADVISOR (12 Month FTC)

TEAM

This role forms a critical part of the Insurance team (part of the wider Treasury and Finance functions) which has group wide accountability for all matters related to insurable risk and claims.

The team seeks to add value to easyJet by helping the business to identify and manage insurable risks (including appropriate risk transfer) and claims. This creates both financial and cultural value for easyJet. Working across all business functions, we also work with external stakeholders including risk consultants, insurers, brokers, re-insurers, legal firms and loss adjusters.

This role reports into the Senior Insurance Manager.

JOB PURPOSE

This is an exciting opportunity to build a career as an in-house Insurance professional in a FTSE 100 organisation with a recognisable brand. You’ll get exposure to our insurance partners including insurers, brokers and legal representatives as well as a broad spread of internal stakeholders. The role requires a motivated and organised communicator with an interest in Insurance, Claims, and Risk Management. Previous insurance experience or qualifications is beneficial but not essential. Must be strong at using Microsoft packages including Excel, Word and PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams.

JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES

The Insurance Advisor will be responsible for:

· Acting as an interface for the Insurance team, responding to a wide range of insurance queries from internal and external stakeholders.

· Supporting the Claims Manager where necessary in managing the insured claims process and individual claims.

· Triaging and allocation of insured claims to the appropriate claims handling provider / insurer, including the new instruction and collation of supporting information.

· Support our claims handling processes by sourcing and providing information to and from internal and external stakeholders, and our external claims handlers.

· Cradle to grave ownership of adhoc queries across a wide range of insurances.

· Raise payments for payment of services to our insurance suppliers including brokers and claims handling providers.

· Supporting our programme of claims review meetings by co-ordinating diaries, meetings, minutes, and actions.

· Facilitate and attend where necessary, calls and interviews with colleagues in their capacity as witnesses.

· Work with internal stakeholders including in-house Legal and Customer Excellence to agree ownership of claims and complaints.

· Supporting Claims Manager to advise our customer service colleagues around handling of complaints and issues, factoring in insurance liability.

· Supporting the annual insurance renewal programme

o Gathering key data from across the business

o Raise premium payments and liaising with broker on the same

· Supporting with departmental procedures and guidelines; ensure all routine tasks/ procedures are documented, revised as needed. Ensure a continual improvement methodology is maintained.

· Owning and maintaining: Insurance site and folders; Insurance intranet site which provides key information to internal stakeholders insurance site and page.

· Supporting any tender processes for new relationships and services in relation to insurance and insurance support providers.

· Operating with absolute integrity and sensitivity striking a balance between offsetting liability for easyJet and ensuring customers and employees are treated fairly

· Insurance, Claims and Risk management experience beneficial but not essential.

· Innovative; willing to suggest and consider alternate approaches that deliver value to the business.

LOCATION & HOURS OF WORK

This full-time role will be based in Luton and will be 40 hours per week. We work on a hybrid basis with 60% of your working week to be on-site. Occasional travel may be required.
