We are easyJet – a FTSE-250 listed, £multi-billion low-cost airline that serves tens of millions of customers every single year. If you’re reading this, you have probably already been an easyJet customer, and you’ll know that there is no more iconic (or Orange!) travel brand in Europe. We fly more than 1,207 routes, connecting 38 countries across Europe, and employ more than 18,000 colleagues. We’re on a mission to make low-cost travel easy – and whatever your role here, you’ll connect millions of people to what they love using Europe’s best airline network, great value fares, and friendly service.
What makes us easyJet? Our Promise Behaviours – we are Safe, Bold, Welcoming and Challenging. Four Behaviours. One Spirit. One easyJet.
easyJet changed how Europe flies. Now, we are changing how airlines and travel companies work with AI, and we are doing it differently. We treat AI enablement as a product, with our colleagues across easyJet as our customers.
The Challenge: Everyone is building AI, but almost nobody can say whether it’s making the business better. Most companies measure AI value by counting active users or running quarterly surveys, but we think that’s just guessing. We want to measure impact down to the workflow and task level with clear, data-led evidence. When an AI tool helps a colleague, we want to know exactly how much time it saved, what it did to quality, and what that means for the bottom line.
The Role: As the AI Value & Impact Lead, you will build easyJet’s trusted value capability and own the ROI story for Enterprise AI. Product teams will use your frameworks to back their roadmaps, Finance will use your data to track real efficiency gains, and leaders will use your evidence to decide where to invest next—and where to stop. You will join a new team with real pace, real backing, and high corporate visibility. Starting as a hands‑on individual contributor, you will be the single owner of our AI value methodology. This isn’t a spreadsheet or PMO role; you will design the frameworks, build the automated measurement systems, and tell the data‑driven story of how AI is changing our airline.
Requirements of the Role:
- Key Responsibilities:
- Find and Capture Value: Spot where AI creates value across easyJet, design automated systems to capture that value as work happens and establish baseline performance metrics before AI is introduced.
- Measure the Impact: Partner with product teams to design experiments, A/B tests, and control groups to isolate AI’s true impact, while building automated pipelines and dashboards to track time saved, error reduction, and revenue uplift.
- Model the Economics: Build economic models and scenarios to test impact under shifting conditions like adoption rates and model costs, partnering with Finance to reconcile productivity gains with actual P&L impact.
- Tell the Strategic Story: Roll up task‑level benefits into an enterprise‑wide investment story for executives, maintain a transparent and auditable benefits portfolio, and set business‑case standards for new AI initiatives.
What We’re Looking For: Our ideal candidate combines a strategist’s eye for value, an economist’s rigour, and a data scientist’s craft. Experience in strategy, consulting, economics, corporate finance, or product analytics, with a strong interest in technology and AI. Strategic judgement to identify where value sits in a business and frame it for leadership action. Economic rigour with experience building models, handling scenarios, and navigating uncertainty. Data science capabilities to design fair tests, spot vanity metrics, and build automated data flows using SQL, Python, Power BI, or Tableau. The ability to turn complex operational data into a clear financial story for executives, alongside outstanding stakeholder management skills.
Nice to Have:
- Experience measuring the productivity or operational impact of GenAI tools like developer copilots or customer service agents.
- Familiarity with advanced statistics, including regression, causal inference, and control group design.
- A background in economics, econometrics, behavioural economics, or experience working in aviation and travel.
- Understanding of modern product management practices.
What We Offer: You will be part of an organisation at the intersection of business strategy, economics, and data science, shaping the future of aviation technology. This role is open to both internal and external candidates.
We offer:
- 25 days holiday, pension scheme, life assurance, and a flexible benefits package.
- Discounted staff travel scheme for friends and family.
- Annual credit for discount on easyJet holidays.
- ‘Work Away’ scheme, allowing you to work abroad for 30 days a year.
- Electric vehicle lease salary sacrifice scheme.
Location & Hours of Work: We operate a hybrid working policy of 2 days a week spent with colleagues.
Reasonable Adjustments: At easyJet, we are dedicated to fostering an inclusive workplace that reflects the diverse customers we serve across Europe. We welcome candidates from all backgrounds. If you require specific adjustments or support during the application or recruitment process, please contact us.
