Ready to keep Europe’s leading airline flying?
At easyJet, we are transforming Airline Operations through modern product-led technology, automation, data, and AI-enabled capabilities. The Airline Operations Platform is the beating heart of this transformation, owning the mission-critical crew, flight planning, network control, and engineering systems (AIMS, TOPS, LIDO, and AMOS) that keep our planes in the sky.
We are looking for a sharp, proactive Delivery Manager to sit at the intersection of our platform squads and operational missions. In this role, you won't just track tasks—you will champion predictability, master dependency management, and ensure that high-impact software changes reach our 24/7 live operation safely.
What You’ll Do (The Role)
As a Delivery Manager, you will lead through influence to run the delivery cadence across a complex portfolio of operational products.
- Master the Cadence: Own the sprint delivery system (backlog refinement, planning, stand-ups, and reviews) across multiple capability chapters like Data Availability, API Integration, and Automation.
- Protect the Commitment: Act as the honest interface between Platform and Mission Product Managers. You will ensure what we commit to is realistic, visible, and strictly honoured.
- Manage the Critical Path: Track, manage, and sequence high-dependency third-party vendor commitments, turning assumptions into reliable dates.
- Ensure Operational Readiness: Coordinate safe deployment into a live 24/7 environment—making sure testing, supportability, documentation, and callout cover are fully locked in before going live.
- Drive Continuous Improvement: Define and report on flow metrics (predictability, throughput) to systematically eliminate recurring delivery blockages rather than working around them.
What We Are Looking For (Key Skills)
You thrive in fast-paced, high-volume environments and have a passion for lean, agile delivery.
Proven Tech Delivery: Experience managing delivery or squads in a complex technology ecosystem with competing priorities.
- Platform-as-a-Product Mindset: Deep understanding of modern product/platform frameworks, treating internal teams as customers and prioritising "reuse over rebuild".
- Dependency & Vendor Champion: Exceptional track record of mapping complex cross-functional risks and holding external suppliers accountable to dates and quality.
- Operational Guard: Experience transitioning technical changes safely into 24/7 live environments.
- Influential Leader: The ability to align and motivate multi-disciplinary squads without direct line-management authority.
- Candid Communicator: Comfortable building strong relationships and delivering unwelcome or high-stakes messages early, clearly, and constructively.
- Tooling: Proficient with Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence, and ITSM tools.
Bonus Points (Desirable)
- Experience within aviation, airline operations, or transport environments.
- Familiarity with critical airline systems like crew management or flight planning.
- A grounding in service management frameworks (like ITIL).
