Role Overview

As one of our B1 Licensed Engineers you’ll play a vital role in keeping our customers moving and reducing delays - and helping us continue to have the highest technical reliability of any Airbus fleet in the world.

Following a new pay agreement, we’re excited to share that salaries across our Engineering & Maintenance team have recently increased making now a great time to join us as we go live with recruitment for this role. As part of an 800 strong team, you’ll do this by using your technical knowledge of aircraft to perform maintenance activities on our fleet of A320 and A320neos to industry leading safety and technical standards. Working under the guidance of Duty Engineers or Aircraft Maintenance Supervisors, you’ll carry out defect rectification and routine servicing using the latest tools and technology.

Everyone at easyJet shares the ‘Orange Spirit’, and within Engineering & Maintenance that means working with people who collaborate, are approachable, are incredibly diverse and inclusive, stand up to be counted, and have your back. As well as rock solid commitment to your ongoing development and training, we can also offer you lots of other benefits including bonuses, share schemes, and of course discounts on flights and holidays.

As part of our continuous commitment to the well-being and fulfilment of our Engineering & Maintenance team, easyJet has recently reviewed salaries across the department. In recognition of the production teams overall contribution, we have increased both the basic pay and social impact allowance.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll exercise your licence and approvals across scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, defect rectification and release-to-service activity, making sure work meets the required technical and legal standards.

You’ll review jobs and resources, set clear priorities for colleagues allocated to you and help channel effort towards safe, on-time departures. When supervising others, you’ll protect workmanship standards and make sure the right tools are used.

You’ll keep maintenance records accurate and timely, check the certification and condition of replacement parts, and report technical delays, significant defects, incidents and other required events through the correct channels.

Strong handovers matter. You’ll record deferred defects, make sure required spares are ordered and leave clear verbal and documented information for the next shift.

What We’re Looking For

You must already hold a UK CAA Part-66 B2 Licence with an A320 type rating. You will have up-to-date knowledge of relevant airworthiness legislation.

You will bring at least three years’ operational experience in a line maintenance environment, alongside a working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and confidence using IT-based reporting and recording systems.

You communicate issues clearly to management, work effectively both independently and as part of a team, and stay focused on internal and external customers when operational pressure rises.

You’re flexible when deadlines or operational problems change the plan, and you’re comfortable challenging existing approaches and contributing to practical improvements.

What You’ll Get

  • Competitive base salary
  • Industry leading Shift Allowance
  • Up to 15% Annual bonus
  • Incremental retention bonus
  • 25 days holiday
  • BAYE, SAYE & Performance share schemes
  • 7% pension
  • Life Assurance
  • Flexible benefits package
  • Excellent staff travel benefits
