As a Senior Business Analyst within the eCommerce Business Analyst Chapter, you will play a key role in enabling high-quality product delivery by applying consistent and pragmatic analysis practices. Reporting to the Business Analyst Chapter Lead, you will support teams within the eCommerce domain by clarifying business needs, shaping requirements, and ensuring that demand is well understood, prioritized, and translated into actionable requirements. You will work closely with product owners, designers, architects, and engineers to bridge business goals with technical solutions. Your focus will be on early-stage analysis, clear requirements documentation, process flows, ensuring smooth delivery, and measurable business outcomes.
In addition to delivery support, you will contribute to the Chapter’s ways of working, adopting and promoting best practices in requirements gathering, stakeholder engagement, and business case development. You will play a key role in mentoring other analysts within the chapter and contributing to the maturity of business analysis practices. You will also create conditions for traceability, reusability, and continuous improvement, helping the Chapter mature as a community of practice.
Job Accountabilities
- Apply and champion the Chapter’s ways of working, tooling, and templates (e.g., story mapping, MVP scoping, requirements catalogues, process flows, Jira/Confluence structures) to ensure consistent, high-quality analysis across Missions/Squads.
- Support the Chapter Lead in assessing new demand by helping identify its potential impact on Missions and Squads, and clarifying the scope and nature of the requirement.
- Assist the Chapter Lead in researching best practices and emerging approaches in Agile Business Analysis, and contribute to updating and embedding these within the Chapter’s ways of working.
- Contribute to defining and evolving the “Definition of Done” for Business Analysts, ensuring clear standards for quality and consistency of BA deliverables.
- Support the Chapter Lead in coaching and mentoring other BAs by helping set up workshops, training sessions, and knowledge-sharing activities to strengthen skills across the Chapter.
- Collaborate with Product, Business, and Technology stakeholders to refine demand, scope features, and define business outcomes.
- Conduct detailed requirements elicitation, story definition, and process analysis, ensuring clear, testable, and prioritized backlogs that enable smooth delivery.
- Partner with Product Owners and squads to create artefacts that support shared understanding and knowledge reuse (e.g., story maps, acceptance criteria, documentation).
- Contribute to early feasibility checks, three‑amigo conversations, and test scenario thinking, reducing late‑stage churn and driving continuous delivery.
- Ensure analysis practices support the full delivery lifecycle — from demand intake and refinement through to release readiness and operational handover.
- Maintain traceability and alignment between requirements, business outcomes, and delivered solutions, using Chapter standards and tools.
- Share insights and learnings with peers in the Chapter, contributing to the community of practice and continuous improvement of Business Analyst methods.
- Actively participate in chapter ceremonies, training, and peer reviews, supporting your own growth and helping to strengthen the Business Analyst discipline across the eCommerce domain.

- Experience as a Senior Business Analyst working within Agile product delivery environments, collaborating across Squads and multiple cross‑functional teams.
- Highly skilled in collaborative analysis and iterative discovery, able to translate complex business needs into clear, actionable requirements and produce documentation that meaningfully supports delivery.
- Experienced in early‑stage analysis, including clarifying scope, shaping requirements, identifying risks and dependencies, and supporting MVP definition and traceability to business outcomes.
- Strong stakeholder management capabilities, with an ability to build trust, manage expectations, and communicate effectively across technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, able to convey complex information clearly, influence decision‑making, and facilitate workshops or discussions with confidence.
