The Team

You’ll join our Quality, Safety & Improvements Team, part of the central Ground Operations function. This team sets the policies and procedures for safety, readiness, compliance, training, and continuous improvement, supporting a safe and on-time operation.

The Role

As Readiness and Training Manager, you’ll be responsible for the GROPS training programme and all aspects of Ground Operations Operational Readiness. You’ll produce the winter operations strategy, working with key suppliers to deliver a safe and cost‑conscious operation. You’ll manage new network points end-to-end, including airport and handler assessments, operational risk evaluations, and readiness reporting. You’ll define training requirements across Ground Operations, working with GROPS Delivery and corporate Training teams to ensure a holistic approach. You’ll ensure suitable training is available for all identified roles and oversee departmental training documentation and compliance.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Designing and delivering training material for ground operations teams
  • Developing and improving operational training programmes (regulatory, initial, recurrent, local)
  • Ensuring training content and delivery meet aviation standards (EASA, IATA, UK CAA) and internal frameworks
  • Overseeing training records and systems for regulatory and audit requirements
  • Coaching the Readiness and Training Specialist for consistent, high‑quality delivery
  • Leading readiness planning for operational changes, new network points, and seasonal ramp‑ups
  • Owning the readiness process for new stations, including assessments, feasibility reviews, onboarding, and cross‑functional input
  • Delivering risk assessments and operational summaries for new stations to support decision‑making
  • Ensuring network points have adequate resources and equipment to meet performance targets
  • Managing contracts with seasonal readiness providers

  • Strong knowledge of ground operations standards, compliance requirements, and airport safety procedures
  • Experience leading operational readiness, new station assessments, or onboarding initiatives
  • Familiarity with winter operations and wildlife management standards and birdstrike prevention practices in airport environments (e.g., ICAO Doc 9137, UK CAA CAP 772)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects, training programmes, and regulatory documentation
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with stakeholder influence across internal and external teams
  • Proficiency in risk assessment methodologies and reporting to senior leadership
  • Willingness to travel as needed across the easyJet network

What you’ll get in return

  • Up to 20% maximum bonus
  • 25 days of annual leave + bank holidays
  • Annual credit towards an easyJet holiday
  • Various flexible benefits and extras
