THE TEAM
Our Network team is at the core of our purpose – making low-cost travel easy and connecting people to what they value. We define which routes and frequencies easyJet will operate to connect our customers across Europe, and drive easyJet’s overall performance. You’ll join the Network Strategy team, which oversees the longer-term strategy and development of easyJet’s network. We set the vision for the network and define the longer-term capacity deployment priorities across all markets, translating this into an aircraft allocation by base. We build coherent strategies to compete with major competitors, and develop our key flows and destinations. The team supports the implementation of the network vision downstream by our team of network and airport development managers. You’ll work closely with colleagues across Airport Development, Operations, Scheduling, People and Strategy, giving you the chance to learn how easyJet plans and delivers its flying.
THE ROLE
As Network Strategy Manager, you’ll play a key role in shaping the future of easyJet’s network. You’ll drive the development and delivery of our overall network strategy, including:
- Leading the five-year and annual aircraft allocation cycles, including owning business case assessment and developing recommendations to influence senior decision makers.
- Defining long-term vision for shape of the network and creating destination strategies.
- Delivering ad-hoc network strategy projects and supporting broader strategic initiatives (e.g. fleet transactions, M&A).
- Maintaining a network-wide view of the evolving competitive landscape and developing competitor strategies.
- Conducting analysis and collaborating with stakeholders across the business to develop recommendations and strategies to improve easyJet’s network and broader business performance.
- Influencing stakeholders including route-level decision-makers (Network managers) to ensure implementation of recommendations.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Open-minded individual with the ability to think outside the box and challenge the status quo to solve problems.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to structure abstract problems and consider the impact of multiple variables on network performance.
- Highly numerate with strong analytical skills, with ability to build models and forecasts to answer abstract questions.
- Highly organised and delivery-focused, with ability to work on multiple projects or processes simultaneously and flexibility to adapt to a fast-paced changing environment.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills - able to present results of analysis, draw out key insights and make recommendations.
- Ability to build relationships and create rapport with a wide range of stakeholders and across multidisciplinary teams to ensure own goals and those of others are delivered.
- Experience in airline network or strategy departments, or in a strategy consulting firm preferred.
- Genuine interest and motivation for the airline sector, with a strong grasp of the European short haul competitive landscape and industry trends.
WHAT YOU’LL GET IN RETURN
