The Team:

You’ll be a key leader in our digital function, working alongside talented colleagues in Product, Software Engineering, Platform Delivery and Data. Together, we drive digital sales and performance across easyJet’s website and mobile app channels, collaborating closely with commercial, marketing and IT teams.

The Role:

As Head of eCommerce Performance, you’ll be the ‘shopkeeper’ for our key digital sales channels, owning and optimising trading growth metrics for bookings, traffic, and conversion. You’ll define and lead our digital merchandising model, organic visibility strategy (SEO, AEO, GEO), and metasearch channel performance. You’ll collaborate with stakeholders across the business, especially airline and holidays trading teams and group marketing, to deliver best-in-class digital retailing and data-driven decision making.

  • Lead and develop the Merchandising, Organic Visibility, and Metasearch teams
  • Drive maximum flight and holidays sales through website and app channels across UK and European markets
  • Own and optimise digital trading approaches in partnership with commercial and marketing teams
  • Work with Digital Product Teams to deliver new merchandising tools, tracking, and CRO testing backlogs
  • Champion data-driven decision making and changes across all digital roadmaps
  • Support agile trading and business performance squads with merchandising and analytics resources
  • Maintain and grow organic visibility and bookings through effective SEO, GEO, and AEO practices
  • Lead key metasearch commercial relationships and drive optimal performance

Requirements of the Role:

  • Significant leadership experience in trading-focused digital/e-commerce roles
  • Commercial and entrepreneurial mind-set with strong results focus
  • Proven ability to grow and lead high-performing, data-driven digital teams in fast-paced environments
  • Highly numerical, data-driven, and technically minded
  • Experience balancing multiple stakeholders and trading needs
  • Strong understanding of digital analytics platforms (e.g. Google Analytics), CMS platforms (e.g. Sitecore, Contentful)
  • Deep knowledge of SEO, GEO, and AEO principles for organic visibility
  • Awareness of metasearch vertical and optimisation strategies
  • Experience with data visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau, Google Looker Studio, Looker, Thoughtspot)
  • Clear communicator, confident with senior stakeholders, able to simplify complex concepts
  • Understanding of CRO, testing, data science, and machine learning principles
  • Senior relationship management skills and ability to influence at a senior level
  • High impact individual, able to lead discussions and negotiations with key channel organisations across Europe

Desirable:

  • Knowledge or experience of working across European markets
  • Experience in senior data, digital, or performance leadership roles within e-commerce, travel, leisure, retail, or other complex, fast-moving environments
