We are looking for a French-speaking Consumer Claims Paralegal (minimum C1 level) to work within our Legal & Litigation team, supporting consumer legal challenges related to operational disruptions.

Responsibilities

  • Process legal claims for compensation and refunds for flight delays and cancellations under EU 261 legislation, the Montreal Convention, and easyJet’s terms and conditions.
  • Assess consumer claims promptly to decide on legal challenges and initiate action.
  • Prepare defence statements with external advisors and handle ADR cases such as conciliation proceedings.
  • Support customer service teams with pre-action cases and ensure accurate data updates in easyJet’s systems.
  • Liaise with courts and manage administrative follow-up for litigated claims and mediation cases from start to settlement or judgement.
  • Advise customer service on consumer law enquiries and maintain databases and payment records.
  • Occasionally translate legal documents into French.

Requirements

  • Fluent or native French speaker with a minimum C1 level.
  • Legal background or experience as a paralegal/legal assistant, ideally with an interest in civil litigation.
  • Knowledge of aviation industry regulations, EU 261 legislation, and French civil procedure law is advantageous.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage large workloads efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Comfortable working with data and proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
  • Additional European language skills are highly regarded.
