Our Scheduling team plays a critical role in ensuring millions of customers can travel across our network every year.
Working at the heart of the airline, the team connects Commercial, Operations, Crew Planning, Airport Operations and Customer teams to deliver a schedule that is operationally robust, commercially effective and fully compliant with industry regulations.
THE ROLE
As our Short-Term Scheduling & Slots Manager, you'll lead the delivery, optimisation and publication of easy Jet's schedule and slot portfolio from several months before a season begins right through to operation.
You'll be responsible for protecting and maximising one of easy Jet's most valuable assets, our industry leading slot portfolio.
Working within a fast paced and dynamic environment, you'll ensure schedules remain deliverable, compliant and optimised, balancing commercial priorities with operational requirements while safeguarding future growth opportunities.
- Leading the management and optimisation of easy Jet's slot portfolio throughout the full seasonal lifecycle.
- Ensuring compliance with slot regulations, IATA slot usage guidelines and critical airport requirements to protect valuable historic slot rights.
- Monitoring schedule performance, including night movement utilisation and schedule feasibility, identifying trends and implementing solutions.
- Leading and developing a high performing team, creating a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Driving delivery of airline KPIs through analytical decision making and process optimisation.
- Publishing and distributing schedule changes to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring accurate and timely communication.
- Working closely with Commercial, Network, Operations, Crew Planning and Customer teams to evaluate, prioritise and implement schedule changes.

Requirements of the Role
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Experience within aviation, airline scheduling, network planning, slots, operations or a similarly complex operational environment.
- Experience leading, developing and motivating teams.
- Understanding of airline scheduling principles and operational constraints, or the ability to quickly develop specialist knowledge.
- Knowledge of airport slot management, IATA processes and regulatory requirements would be highly advantageous.
- Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities, with the ability to translate data into meaningful business insight.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience working with data visualisation or analytical tools such as Tableau.
- Ability to balance competing commercial and operational priorities and make sound decisions.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills.
- A proactive, resilient and continuous improvement mindset.
- Flexibility to travel occasionally and adjust working patterns to support operational requirements.

- PRACTICALITIES
This full-time role will be based in Luton and will be 40 hours per week. We support hybrid working and we spend 60% of our time per month in the office.
