The Team:
Join our dynamic PR & Corporate Affairs Team, where you will play a crucial role in shaping easyJet’s public image and managing our communications strategy in the UK. Reporting to the Head of UK PR and Public Affairs, you’ll lead a talented PR team dedicated to promoting and defending our brand in the media.
The Role:
As our Senior UK PR Manager, you will lead the public relations efforts for easyJet in the UK. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing an integrated communications strategy to enhance and defend our reputation
- Managing the UK PR team to ensure we provide timely and effective media responses to defend the brand
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key transport, travel and consumer news media
- Managing crisis communications responses, ensuring the team is prepared for any situation
- Overseeing the delivery of proactive PR campaigns and events, managing budgets and consumer PR agencies for impactful delivery
- Advising internal stakeholders at all levels on reputational impact and opportunity
- Producing high-quality communications materials, including press releases and briefings
Requirements of the Role:
- Demonstrable experience in consumer and corporate public relations with high-profile brands
- Proven track record in leading successful media campaigns and events, and managing media relationships
- Creative thinker with the ability to develop campaign and story ideas aligned with company strategy
- Experience in media training for spokespeople and working closely with internal stakeholders at all levels
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and run a team effectively in high-pressure situations
- Highly organised with keen attention to detail
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Familiarity with the airline or transport industry is advantageous
