The Team
Our Operations Finance team partners with our Operations colleagues to deliver our strategy of making low‑cost travel easy. This role sits within the Customer and Network Operations Finance sub‑team, reporting to the Senior Finance Manager for Customer and Network Operations and managing one direct report. Our team works closely with the Integrated Control Centre, Operations Insights & Improvements, Customer Management Centre, and Procurement teams.
The Role
As Finance Manager for Disruption and Customer Contact Centre, you will be the end‑to‑end finance contact for Disruption and Customer Management Centre costs, providing complete financial management and ownership for this area. You will partner with business owners and drive financial performance, acting as a key contact for the Integrated Control Centre, Operations Insights & Improvements, Customer Management Centre, and Procurement teams. You will lead strategic and annual planning processes, including the annual Business Plan, 5 year Strategic Plan, month end deliverables, monthly forecasting, and projects. You will drive and monitor initiatives for the EDGE cost saving programme and proactively engage with business partners to deliver ad hoc requests, such as scenario planning during mass disruption, ensuring the right balance of cost, operational performance, and customer satisfaction. You will motivate and support your direct report and contribute to the wider team’s development.
Requirements
- Qualified accountant with 3+ years post‑qualification experience
- Experience in large, complex, fast‑moving organisations
- Strong analysis and variance interpretation skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to manage and interpret large datasets; passion for automation and process improvement
- Proven ability to business partner and influence senior stakeholders
- Proactive self‑starter with strong commercial acumen
- Excellent Excel skills; Planning Analytics experience a bonus
- Aviation experience welcome but not essential

Practicalities
This full‑time role will be based in Luton and will be 40 hours per week. We support hybrid working and we spend 60% of our time per month in the office.
