FINANCE MANAGER – ENGINEERING & MAINTENANCE AND NAVIGATION
easyJet are currently on the lookout for a Finance Manager to join our evolving operations finance team, specifically partnering the Engineering & Maintenance (E&M) operations and Navigation operations. TEAM
This is a really exciting opportunity working as a key member of the Operations Finance team, reporting into the Senior Finance Manager for E&M, providing financial ownership for E&M and Navigation costs and line managing a direct report. This role also sits within the wider Operations Team and is a key business partnering role.
JOB PURPOSE
> Purpose of this role is to be the end-to-end finance contact for E&M and Navigation costs and provide complete financial management and ownership for these areas
> The role provides a business partnership between the business owners and the financial performance of easyJet
> This role leads the long-term planning processes for E&M and Navigation costs, including the Business plan and the long-term strategic plan
> This includes month end deliverables, Strategic and Annual planning, Forecasts, projects and providing insightful analysis for the business
> A key aspect of this role is helping create and implement new performance KPI’s and productivity measures for multiple areas within E&M
> The role drives and monitors the cost saving initiatives that form part of the overall strategic plan
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
Business Partnering:
Provides a true Business Partner framework to E&M team, ensuring that the business owners are supported with the right insight and information at all times. Strong business partnering with cross functional stakeholders including wider finance team, Operations & Fleet teams to ensure seamless communication and integrity of results and forecasts.
> Business plan and long-term strategic plan for E&M and Navigation
> Supporting the cost programme strategy and delivery of initiatives
> Review and comment on monthly reporting and analysis
> Monthly Re-forecasting
> Business case evaluation and decision advice
> Ad-hoc projects
Business Performance and Analytical support :
> Ownership for monthly detailed analysis and insight into the costs, which can be used to drive business performance and improve the cost base
> Responsibility for accurate monthly forecasting into consolidated PBT model, capex forecast and review of cash flow forecasts
> Driving confidence in numbers and providing insight into risks and opportunities
> Driving continuous improvements in the operational and finance processes
> Contribute to budget process and pack for E&M and Navigation detailing variances by country & maintenance area for presentation to senior management and for procurement
> Provide financial evaluation and acts as lead decision support finance manager for ad-hoc projects and cost saving initiatives
> Management of an analyst to support the team, evaluating impacts of new deals on cost and variances

> Maintaining effective cross functional relationships.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS & FINANCIAL TARGETS
>
Support delivery of Cost per Seat (CPS) & Cost per available seat kilometre (CASK) maintained at broadly flat and delivered to budget
>
Month End pack delivery with insight and budget variance analysis completed on time and with accuracy and clear explanations of movements
>
Support easyJet strategic projects and track benefits delivery
>
Deliver the business initiatives for each area of responsibility.

Support the development of in year and pipeline cost initiatives with E&M and Navigation

Qualified accountant with at least 3 years post qualified experience
