What you’ll bring to the team:

Reporting to the Head of Architecture, we are looking for an Architect to join our growing Technology Team at easyJet Holidays. The team is a dynamic group of practical and pragmatic architects responsible for providing strategic technology decisions, providing solution design and being the custodians of architecture information across the organisation.

Job Purpose

As the Enterprise Architect for the Customer Domain, you will be responsible for Customer technology architecture strategy for easyJet Holidays, ensuring its alignment with both wider technology and business strategy. You will be responsible for working with our business on aiding ideation and discovery for key strategic Customer team and Commercial initiatives. You will also be responsible for high level solution design for those initiatives.

The role will involve working with domain solution architects who are dedicated to solution design and the wider team comprising of Enterprise and Solution architects all reporting to the Head of Architecture. The customer domain at easyJet Holidays covers all areas that we provide service and support to our customers. The relevant systems are customer service elements of our digital channels, customer support include service systems such as Salesforce, Amazon Connect our self-built customer comms and customer platforms built in AWS. You will be accountable for all customer architecture design artefacts and ensuring all designs and design decisions are governed according to the practice. You will also be responsible for guiding solution architects in iterative product solution design.

Job Accountabilities

  • To lead the technology strategy for end to end solutions in the Customer domain, working with technical leads covering each product under development, and the Head of Architecture driving the long-term architectural direction.
  • Work with the Customer teams in discovery for new business ideas and major Holidays initiatives, providing conceptual solutions, options analysis, estimation and guiding the business in realising the initiative vision.
  • Produce high quality, comprehensive Solution designs artefacts demonstrating a balance of different functional & non-functional drivers and requirements, effective understanding of solution risk, and alignment to broader IT strategy and standards, delivered in an agile, Product-based framework.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the architecture wider architecture practice maintaining views of evolving Digital technology landscape, identifying patterns and standards and assuring digital design artefacts and design decisions are well documented and well governed.

Key Skills Required

  • Experience of pragmatic architecture governance process in design governance, production of enterprise artefacts and maintenance of relevant architecture viewpoints.
  • Demonstrable experience of leading major initiative discovery and experimentation.
  • Demonstrable experience of designing high quality software solutions in-line with business needs and timescales.
  • Ability to confidently present solution architecture and strategy to both IT and business audiences.
  • The ability to understand complex concepts and communicate them in a simple manner to business and technology stakeholders.
  • Experience of designing/implementing solutions, including: CDP platforms, Integration Service architectures and patterns.
  • Experience of building internal and external 3rd party integration architectures.
  • Experience of Event Driven Architecture & API Design.
  • Practical experience of delivering iterative architecture solutions in an agile project delivery model.
  • Understanding of the design approach to achieving functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Software Development path background desirable with evidence of previous programming language experience.
  • Travel, Retail or Ecommerce Industry domain knowledge desirable but not essential.

Location & Hours of Work

This full-time role will be based in Luton with some Hybrid working. The role will also require some occasional travel.
