The Team
You’ll be joining our Network Control Team within the Integrated Control Centre, working alongside a dedicated group of professionals who ensure safety, compliance, and operational excellence 24/7. The Crewing team collaborates closely with crew across the network, base teams, rostering, training, and other operational teams to keep our schedule running smoothly and safely.
The Role
As a Crewing Officer, you’ll play a vital role in managing crew rosters from the day of operation up to three days out, using the AIMS crew system and a range of decision support tools. Reporting to the Senior Crewing Officer, you’ll ensure all rosters are safe, legal, and compliant with local agreements, while also considering operational robustness, efficiency, cost effectiveness, and crew wellbeing.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining safe and compliant rosters in line with legal requirements, contracts, and company policies
- Keeping up to date with the latest rules, protocols, and system updates
- Liaising with ICC teams, base teams, and training delivery to manage and communicate roster changes and disruptions
- Re‑crewing uncovered flight duties, applying sound judgement to balance operational needs, cost, and crew lifestyle
- Managing roster change requests with sensitivity and ensuring all changes are understood and accepted by relevant parties
- Providing cross‑functional support to other operational and planning teams as needed
- Maintaining strong safety culture, reporting incidents, and supporting investigations to improve safety and compliance
- Ensuring effective strategies are in place for managing disruption and maintaining adequate standby coverage
Requirements of the Role
What we’re looking for:
- Minimum two years of relevant experience, ideally in airline operations, crewing, or as cabin crew
- Ability to provide effective solutions for last‑minute crew changes, considering employee wellbeing
- Strong decision‑making skills, especially under pressure and in ambiguous situations
- Ability to manage multiple demands, shifting priorities, and short deadlines
- Comprehensive knowledge of EASA and easyJet alleviations is beneficial
- Strong interpersonal, communication, consultative, and influencing skills
- Team player with a focus on continuous improvement
- High degree of personal and professional flexibility
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general PC use
- Proactive approach to personal development
- Strong customer focus and a passion for delivering excellent service
- Knowledge of AIMS or equivalent is desirable
This full‑time role is based at London Gatwick, working an average of fourteen 12‑hour shifts per 28 days, including both day and night shifts.
