We’re currently welcoming Non-Type Rated Co-Pilots to join us on a permanent contract at one of our UK bases, following completion of an A320 Type Rating. Non-Type Rated Co-Pilots will complete a self-funded A320 Type Rating with one of our approved training organisations at the start of easyJet employment, followed by an easyJet OCC. Type Rating runs for approximately 6-8 weeks and is a self-funded cost of approximately £22,000, or bonded 36-month salary deduction of approximately £620 (the exact cost will be confirmed at point of offer).

Requirements of the Role:

  • Operated on aircraft above 10 Tonnes MTOW within the last 12 months (at point of application).
  • A minimum of 1,000 total flying hours (with a minimum of 500 hours on aircraft above 10 Tonnes MTOW) by easyJet induction.
  • A UK CAA Licence (or be willing and eligible to convert to a UK CAA Licence by easyJet induction).
  • A UK CAA Class 1 Medical (or be willing and eligible to convert to a UK CAA Class 1 Medical by easyJet induction).
  • The right to live and work in the UK, with unrestricted access across the UK, EEA and easyJet network.

The Selection Process:

  • STAGE 1 – Online Application
  • STAGE 2 – Online Assessments
  • STAGE 3 – Application Review
  • STAGE 4 – Assessment Centre – Successful candidates from Stages 1-3 will be invited to attend an easyJet Assessment Centre. This will take place in one of our Simulator Centres and will consist of both a Non-Technical and a Technical (SIM) Assessment.

We are planning for Assessment Centres to take place from July, and Type Rating courses to begin from October 2026.
