- THE TEAM
Our Design Team plays a critical role in supporting the safety, reliability and continued airworthiness of the easy Jet fleet.
The team is responsible for approving aircraft modifications, repairs and allowable damage, while supporting both operational requirements and regulatory compliance.
As part of the easy Jet Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO), the team contributes directly to keeping our aircraft safe, compliant and ready to fly.
THE ROLE
As a Cabin Interiors Certification Verification Engineer (CVE), you'll be responsible for ensuring that cabin interiors design data approved by the easy Jet Design Organisation meets all applicable initial and continued airworthiness requirements.
Working within the scope of your authorisation, you'll prepare, approve and verify technical design data while acting as a subject matter expert for cabin interiors across the business.
This is an exciting opportunity to combine technical expertise with regulatory oversight, helping to deliver aircraft modifications and repairs that support operational performance, customer experience and fleet safety.
- WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- Preparing and approving cabin interiors design data within the scope of your authorisation.
- Producing and reviewing engineering documentation including modifications, repairs, compliance checklists, reports, drawings and Instructions for Continued Airworthiness.
- Independently checking compliance documentation to ensure technical accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Acting as the technical authority for cabin interiors matters within the Design Organisation.
- Providing specialist technical advice and support to engineering colleagues and stakeholders across the business.
- Supporting the Design Organisation's Safety Management System and safety culture.
- Managing competing priorities to ensure work is delivered to required standards and timescales.
- Supporting Independent System Monitoring activities and regulatory audits when required.
- Participating in investigations, identifying root causes and supporting corrective and preventative actions.
- Supporting the introduction of modifications that deliver operational value while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements of the Role
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We're looking for a technically capable engineer who combines certification knowledge with a practical and collaborative approach.
You'll be comfortable working with complex technical requirements, influencing stakeholders and making sound engineering decisions while maintaining the highest standards of compliance and safety.
You will have strong communication skills, the ability to build effective working relationships and the confidence to act as a trusted technical expert within your specialist area.
- KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Good working knowledge of aircraft certification requirements.
- Cabin interiors engineering and certification experience.
- Existing Cabin Interiors CVE approval or the competence and experience to achieve the required authorisation.
- Experience creating, reviewing or approving aircraft design data and compliance documentation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience conducting technical investigations and root cause analysis.
- Proficiency in Auto CAD.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong planning and prioritisation capability.

- PRACTICALITIES
This full-time role will be based in Luton and will be 40 hours per week.
We support hybrid working and we spend 60% of our time per month in the office.
