UK Remote Job – GRC Officer at TwinStream

Manage the day-to-day operation, maintenance and continuous improvement of governance and compliance activities, including ISO-certified management systems.

Plan and conduct internal audits and other assurance activities.

Coordinate external certification audits and compliance assessments.

Maintain compliance records, identify gaps and implement corrective actions.

Prepare clear compliance reports for senior leadership.

Collaborate with stakeholders to manage risks, coordinate compliance activities and ensure actions are completed.

Monitor regulatory, contractual and industry requirements and coordinate responses to changes.

Provide practical governance, risk and compliance (GRC) advice and guidance.

Identify and implement improvements to strengthen or simplify GRC processes.

Requirements

• Demonstrable experience in governance, compliance, risk, assurance, auditing or related roles.
• Practical experience supporting or maintaining ISO-certified management systems.
• Good understanding of governance, risk and compliance principles, including risk management.
• Ability to apply a practical and proportionate approach to compliance.
• Experience maintaining policies, processes, registers and controlled documentation.
• Experience conducting or supporting internal audits, compliance reviews or assurance activities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent organisational and proactive problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to interpret compliance requirements and translate them into practical actions.
• Confidence using digital tools, particularly Jira and Confluence.
• Ability to work remotely in a flexible and agile environment.
• Remote working is permitted only within the UK.
• Successful completion of the required security screening and clearance process.
• Eligibility for the relevant BPSS, Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV) clearance.
• Must meet UK Government residency and right-to-work requirements for the required clearance level.

Desirable qualifications and experience:

• Practical experience supporting or maintaining ISO 9001.
• Experience coordinating surveillance, recertification or certification audits.
• Experience with UK government commercial or contractual requirements.
• Internal auditor training.
• Project or delivery management experience and training.
• Experience developing compliance reports, metrics or dashboards.
• Proficiency with Atlassian tools, particularly Jira.
